Our Story and Founder
The seed that has grown into the Ocansey Foundation was first planted in 2005 when our Founder, John T. Ocansey, visited Ghana and was shocked to witness first-hand the dire need for help. He saw children and their families desperately sick, poorly nourished, and with no hope of adequate health care or education. He knew he needed to step up and make a difference.
In 2008 he returned with a 40-foot container full of gym shoes, clothing, computers, and other essentials for those in need. Since that time, he has been tireless in his mission to help provide equality in health care, education programs, and financial support in Ghana and the US. He founded the Ocansey Foundation in the hope of reaching more families and helping children in need, wherever they may be.
